    Abstract: A rotatingbladewithapreconeangleisusuallydesigned,butlittleliteraturehasinvestigatedtheeffect
    of thepreconeangleonvibration.Thispaperinvestigatesdivergenceinstabilityandvibrationofa
    rotatingTimoshenkobeamwithpreconeandpitchangles.ItusesHamilton’sprincipletoderivethe
    coupledgoverningdifferentialequationsandboundaryconditionsforarotatingTimoshenkobeam.
    Analytical solutionofaninextensionalTimoshenkobeamwithouttakingintoaccounttheCoriolisforce
    effect canbederived.SomesimplerelationsamongtheparametersofrotatingTimoshenkobeams
    are revealed.Basedontheserelations,onecanpredictthenaturalfrequenciesandparametersof
    other systemsfromthoseofknownsystems.Moreover,themechanismofdivergenceinstability
    (tension buckling)isinvestigated.Finally,theeffectsoftheparametersonnaturalfrequencies,andthe
    phenomenonofdivergenceinstabilityareinvestigated.
