    Abstract: A nanosecond (ns) laser-induced forward transfer
    (LIFT) technique is developed for the patterning of
    carbon nanotube (CNT) emitters on silver paste
    substrates under ambient pressure and temperature
    conditions. In the proposed approach, an
    infrared-transparent support substrate coated with a thin
    CNT film irradiated by a Nd:YAG (1064 nm) pulsed
    laser beam. The resulting laser fluence of 1.96 J/cm2
    transfers CNTs from the thin film to the silver paste
    substrate without causing any damage to the support
    substrate. Two different receiving substrates are
    employed, namely wet silver paste and pre-cured silver
    paste, respectively. The field emission test results
    obtained for a square-type CNT pattern deposited on the
    wet silver paste substrate and a line-type CNT pattern
    deposited on the pre-cured silver paste substrate
    confirm the effectiveness of the proposed patterning
