    Title: 新型球面式超音波探頭設計從事腹部腫瘤高溫治療

    Abstract: 本計畫之主要目的是分析ㄧ簡易式新設計的聚焦式球面超音波換能器從事腹部腫瘤治療時,在治療區內其音波強度及溫度分佈情形。以兩個完全相同的球面超音波探頭安裝再ㄧ個直角的架構上,且此架構可作直線移動,而且兩垂直側各有ㄧ滑動槽允許每個球面超音波探頭可作直線移動。當改變兩個球面超音波探頭相對位置時,分析此兩束超音波進入腹部後對音波強度造成的影響,如聚焦點的最大強度的改變與聚焦點位置的移動程度等。結果顯示單一曲率半徑為25cm 直徑為20cm的超音波探頭,放射頻率以0.5 MHz 或1MHz,不考慮衰減因素下時,波壓為最大波壓值一半的等高線範圍內,最大長度與最窄寬度之比值都維持在10:1。而簡易式新設計的聚焦式球面超音波換能器所產生-3dB 波壓等高線分佈近似球形分佈,大大改善單一聚焦式球面超音波探頭所造成狹長放射能量分佈,而且透過簡易的移動探頭位置便可將二個超音波波束之聚焦點可輕易移動。從模擬腹部腫瘤高溫治療結果顯示此聚焦式球面換能器所產生的300 分鐘等效熱劑量分佈可有效的控制治療區的範圍避免產生過於狹長分佈。The main purpose of this project is to design asimple new prototype of ultrasound transducer forabdominal tumor hyperthermia and to investigate itsacoustic absorption energy and the correspondingtemperature fields within the interesting region usingthis new device. Two identical spherical type bowltransducers are selected and mounted on a rightangle frame which can be moved. Each of transducercan be adjusted its location along a horizontal orvertical trough separately on the frame. When therelative position between ultrasound transducerschanged, the combination of acoustic intensitypattern due to these two ultrasound beams istheoretically investigated. Results illustrate that using a single sphericalultrasound transducer with a radius of curvature of25 cm and a diameter of 20 cm, the aspect ratios ofthe -3dB contour plot of acoustic pressure for caseswith frequencies of 0.5 and 1.0 MHz are close to10:1. Nevertheless, the -3dB contour plot of acousticpressure induced by the new focused spherical bowltransducer is close to a sphere shape which is betterthan that induced by a single transducer. At the sametime it is easy to shift the focus by adjusting one oftransducers’ positions. Based on the simulationresults of the distribution of 300-minute thermaldose, the feasibility of applying this new device intoabdominal ultrasound hyperthermia to create aproper heating domain is shown.
