The booming computer technology andmulti-media communication have providedalternative information retrieving channels.Museum as an example has provided diversifiedinformation services and creative public exhibitionfor the visitors. The most important thing for theexhibition is to display artifacts with their originalforms and relative archives. It is especially criticalfor the damaged artifacts. For the exhibitionpurpose, the re-construction of the original form ofthe damaged artifacts becomes important. There isno doubt that the relevant technologies can helpout the re-construction of the exhibited artifacts, hologram and augmented reality as two goodexamples. This research is attempted to accomplishtwo tasks: (I) apply those two technologies onto the3-D modeling and 3-D re-construction of theexhibited artifacts and (II) apply multi-mediacommunication technology onto human/computerinterface design. As a result, the users can operatea distance browse through the computer interface. This research has two goals: (I) improve theexhibited artifact’s form quality and (II) provide adistance learning mechanism for the users.
