    摘要: The aim of this research was to investigate, design and develop experimentally, both the new turbine that can be submerged in water flowing in pipes with higher efficiency that the ones already existing and the electrical generator that can be installed in the pipes without cutting off the fluid flow.
    The electric generator is mainly composed by two parts, one is the rotor and other is the stator. One the rotor the turbine is installed with a new design featuring moving blades, this new design is now in patent‐pending process in Taiwan and looking forward to be patented in other countries. The stator has mainly the coils and the sealing mechanism.
    In the design and development process, modern engineering tools where used such as 2D and 3D(CAD) software, Computational fluid Dynamics(CFD)software and rapid prototyping(RP) technology, moreover in order to facilitate the numerical and experimental studies, to analyze and make the reverse engineering of the design, these tools where critical.
    The experimental study was conducted using a water tank, a submergible water pump, a small pipeline and the generator made with plastic, aluminum and steel. The pipe containing the generator was made with a window in order to see the rotation of the turbine. Velocities of the water getting in an out from the turbine, rotational velocity of the turbine and voltages where measured.
    The study led to several important findings which are going to be mentioned in the present; however it is important to point out the successful invention of a new design of turbine which is feasible for many applications in the generation of green energy.
