Tu Fu was extolled as the “Poetic historian” by poets during late Tang Dynasty. The essence of integration and divergence resulted from two literary styles of “poem” and “history” had been interpreted differently throughout each of the succeeding dynasties. Comments from contemporary scholars or poetic commentators in succeeding dynasties all dissected and analyzed the contents and evolutions of the so called “poetic history”, they tended to explore the realization findings of “poetic history” from the text aspect of the poetry itself. Nonetheless, their researches were most likely inevitably concentrating in two dynasties of either Ming or Qing with scope limited to specific artworks of certain poets. Hence, this thesis tried to rely upon the text of poetries in chastity, filial piety, moral integrity and martyrdom so as to analyze with the expectation that most texts had the creation attempts expressed in the format of “writing history in poetry”; additionally, the outer appearance also possessed certain framework of realism with lyrical content expression. Both characters and affairs inscribed and recited in this thesis had the specific time and space coordinates, in addition, its expression technique tended to be lyrical in nature, its expression focus was inclined to be imagery at best. And it applied the symbolic scenes, affairs and large amount of allusions, targeting and appealing to imaginations. It borrowed the parallel and analogy approaches, to use the pretext to draft and manage to rise above eventually; ultimately, this turned out to be the value judgment in conveying the imbedded moral messages.
