With the rapid development of embedded system, the penetration in its popularity has stimulated the emergence of various embedded system applications. The curriculum of “Embedded Systems Application Based on Intel XScale” introduces a course in embedded Linux that could help students of vocational university improving practical skills, enabling them to purchase an inexpensive device instead and thereby gain hands-on embedded Linux porting and programming experience. Therefore, we hope to decrease the problem of supply divide between academic teaching and industrial requirement.
