    Abstract: A 5.2GHz Low noise amplifier (LNA) has been implemented in a TSMC 0.18um CMOS Mixed Signal RF 1P6M process. At 5.2GHz, this LNA provides about 10dB gain. Noise figure of LNA is 3.4dB while drawing 8.5mW from a 1.8V supply. The cascode configuration is employed in this circuit, with the source inductive feedback (SIF) to achieve simultaneous input and noise matching and to provide the desired input resistance (50Ω).
