    Abstract: Taiwan is in tropical area, and the weather is highly humid and hot. Glazed windows
    are very popular for the building construction but in terms of wasting lot of energy on
    air-conditioning and lighting. The consuming electrical energy of those buildings is 4 to 5
    times more than conventional buildings’. Especially for the air-conditioning system the
    average power consuming is one third of the peak power consumption. Therefore, to
    reduce the usage of air-conditioning is the first priority for energy saving.
    Phase change materials (PCMs) can be used together with the construction materials.
    When it is used for storage and release energy inside the construction materials, and it is
    not difficult to build a house with warming winter and cooling summer.
    Energy saving materials can be used technically by the following ways:
    1.of coating on the surface of the walls;
    2. of using glass as the heat resistance materials,
    3. of encapsulated PCM packages on the ceiling or inside the walls for
    temperature accumulator,
    4. and directly mixed with cement on the roof or outer walls.
    The main objective of this project is to development the usage of PCM on the ceiling
    and inside the walls to adjust the indoors temperature. By using the low power consuming
    fan instead of using air-conditioning or heater, the air ventilation system is built with
    ceiling and air-ducts inside the walls. It would help to reduce the compressor usage periods,
    and come out a big amount of energy saving without loosing the comfort of life. At the
    same time, we would also monitor the noise level for those designs of applications without
    influencing the living standards.
    本計畫之目的係以儲能材料應用於建材隔間、外牆及天花板,搭配空調系統之
    風管,以低耗能之風扇調節室內的溫濕度;本計畫針對儲能材料在貨櫃屋的節能減
    碳做一系列的實驗,結果顯示搭佩儲能空心磚與隔熱反光板分別放置於屋頂及牆壁
    外層(北面鐵皮無包覆,並開通風口調節溫度用),內部於天花板放置儲能包,如此
    可有效減少室內的高低溫差,有效大量減少冷氣與暖氣的使用量。此外,本計畫亦
    針對牆壁個隔間材料對於降低噪音量研究,初步實驗結果顯示,隔音實驗發現,
    在多種材料當中以厚紙板的隔音效果最好, 單一一片1 mm 厚度的厚紙
    板, 再測試音源的六個頻率, 都能降低1 0 ~1 5 分貝左右的效果。PC 中空
    板可有效儲存儲能材料並可達成減少噪音的效果(平均10 d b 左右), 微衝
    孔鋁板(孔徑1mm,間距分別有3mm 與5mm 兩個樣本)目前尚未發現其減低噪音的效
    果,未來可朝孔徑100μm 等級,間距1mm 或0.5mm 的方向實驗,唯加工技術仍需突破。
